Beverly L. Doyle, 87, beloved wife of the late Paul F. Doyle of Newburyport, MA passed away peacefully at Port Healthcare Center surrounded by her family. Beverly was born to the late Edward Noyes and Della (Carter) Noyes on May 27, 1936 in Newburyport where she was raised. After high school, Beverly became a favorite waitress to many patrons of the Sportsman’s Lodge and Labordini’s. Eventually, Beverly was trained as a Lab Tech for Anna Jacques Hospital, where she enjoyed working for a time.
Beverly had an artist’s perspective. Whether it was painting, antiquing or gardening, she could channel the beauty within and bring it to the surface with extreme creativity. Before her husband Paul’s passing, they got immense joy for years out of strategically scoping out early-morning yard sales and selling their treasured finds at Todd’s flea market in Rowley every Sunday. They were quite the operation.
Beverly had a flare for fashion and a passion for accessories. She could emphasize her entire wardrobe for any occasion with her colossal assortment of jewelry, which she might insist you borrow from to adorn a piece of your clothing if it was seeming to plain to her.
Beverly loved family gatherings and would often host Thanksgivings that would soon leave a nostalgic feeling for all who attended. Beverly traveled often and decided that Ireland was her special place to be with her late husband Paul. Beverly was the youngest and sole survivor of five children. She was predeceased by her siblings Forrest Noyes, Emily Knapp, Leonard Noyes and Edith Jones.
Beverly was the mother of six children and is survived by her daughter Linda (Doyle) Larcome and husband Jay Larcome, her sons Paul F. Doyle Jr., Joseph Lojko and wife Mayshle Lojko, her daughter Kathleen Snow, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Beverly also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Beverly is now reunited with her late sons Garry F. Doyle and Jonathan B. Walton.
Beverly’s laughter and sense of humor brought so much joy to family and friends lucky enough to have been in her presence. Her passing has taken a piece of our hearts. But her warmth of spirit will live on as we remember her love, as expressed here to her children: “Be good to each other, we only get one chance. We can’t go back, my journey is over now. I will always be glad I had six wonderful children. You have filled my life with love. My love and kisses go to you - Your Mum xxxxxxoooooo”
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Port Healthcare Center and Harborside Hospice. Words cannot express our gratitude for the selflessness and caring shown by the staff. They went above and beyond to show their tenderness and love towards Beverly, which was undoubtedly recognized.
A graveside service for Beverly will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Newburyport, MA, April 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Garry F. Doyle Memorial Scholarship Fund, Institution for Savings, 93 State Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
