In loving memory of David Norman Sharkey, born on February 26, 1936, whose life truly began on September 19, 1956, when he joyously married the love of his life, Nancy Harrington. David’s life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and boundless love for his family and community.

David worked as a mason and was a valued employee at Lucent Technologies. He also worked for the town of Merrimac, where he dutifully served in various capacities, including the police department, volunteer firefighting, and maintaining local parks and fields.

David was a lifelong member of Pilgrim Congregational Church. David found joy in a multitude of pastimes, from golfing and bowling to softball and card games, and all sports. However, his true passion was fishing

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy, and his brothers Dick, Frank, and Peter. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by his devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Joel Vedrani, Cindy and Paul Woiceshook, Judith Drapeau and Will Wright, and son-in-law Tom Drapeau and his wife Diane. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren, David and Kim Woiceshook, Jessica and Jason Ingemi, Zachary and Jessica Drapeau, Abby Drapeau, Christine and Ryan Watson, Tim and Lauren Wright, as well as his great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kayden, MacKenzie, Hailey, Archer, Owen, Joseph, Theodore, Meredith, and Layla. David is also survived by his sister, Carol Citak, and sisters-in-law Lucille, Linda, and Patsy Sharkey, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind good friend George Dupree and his daily coffee crew, who he shared many laughs with, and they all watched over him.
