Elizabeth A. (Morse) Currier age 82, longtime resident of South Hampton, and former resident of Amesbury as well, passed at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill on Friday, February 16, 2024, after a period of declining health. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald F. Currier, who passed on March 13, 2013.
Born in Amesbury, September 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Rose-Marie A. (Kolb) Morse and was a graduate of Amesbury High School, Class of 1959. She would then marry the love of her life, Donald Currier, and moved to South Hampton. They built a new home next door to the apartment where they were living and there, they would raise their family. She would live in this home for the next fifty-five years. While the kids were in school, she was active in the local PTA, South Hampton Players as well as other various town activities and functions. She would retire from the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, where she had been an exceptional tax clerk for many years. In the years after retirement, she could often be found wintering in Florida, attending her grandchildren’s various athletic games and dance recitals, and weekend getaways down the Maine coast as well as throughout New England.
Her loving and caring ways will always be remembered by her daughter, Dawn M. Brackett Janvrin and her husband Christopher Janvrin of South Hampton, NH; her son, Daniel E. Currier and his wife Allison of Nashua,NH; her beloved grandchildren, Katie Brackett, and Nicholas and Owen Currier; her only sibling, Theodore Morse, Jr. and his wife Dolores, along with several generations of nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury. Due to the inclement weather, there will be no graveside service, instead, there will be a Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11 A.M.
