Evelyn Pat (Rogers) Junkins

Evelyn P. (Rogers) “Pat” Junkins, age 74, of Amesbury, MA, passed away on December 2, 2023, at Anna Jaques Hospital, after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of William “Bill” Junkins.

Born on March 6, 1949, in Newburyport, MA, she was one of five children of the late Leonard and Edith Rogers and was a graduate of North Reading High School.

“Pat”, as she liked to be called, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter, all of whom she loved so dearly. Additionally, Pat thoroughly enjoyed playing Bingo and always looked forward to trips to the white Mountains in New Hampshire.

In addition to her husband “Billy”, she is survived by her two sons, William Junkins and David “Peanut” Junkins; her daughter Norma Webster and husband Mike; her five grandchildren, Tara Stevens and her husband Aaron, Patrick “Ricky” Sonier, Tony Sonier, Danielle Sonier, and Leroy Sonier; her only great-granddaughter, Paige Goodwin; her brothers, Lenny Brown and wife Sue and Bobby Rogers and wife Vicky, all of Seabrook, NH, along with several nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Pat was preceded in death by her son, Winfield “Winnie” Junkins, her brother, Harry Brown, and her sister, Peggy Walker.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, from 4-6 P.M., from the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, followed by a funeral service at 6 PM at the Amesbury location. By request of the family, burial at Belleville Cemetery, Newburyport, will be private.
