Frank I Kervin Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 84, a long time resident of Kingston and Kensington NH on January 29, 2025 at Exeter Hospital surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born in Amesbury, MA, March 22, 1940 and was the son of the late Lawrence Kervin and the late Elsie (Wadleigh) Tobin. He was predeceased by his son Frank Kervin Jr.
He was a graduate of Amesbury High School class of 1958, were he was a member of the band.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of their Fire and Rescue.
Frank spent many years as a police officer for Kingston Police Department and a firefighter and EMT with both Kingston and Newton NH.
He was known for his strong work ethics and his love of his family. He was forever helping others, family, friends and strangers.
He worked his entire career as a CAD Engineer for Western Electric and retired many years later from Lucent Technologies in North Carolina.
Beautiful memories will not be forgotten by his long time partner Barbara Simpson with whom he shared many adventures. He was an amazing Dad to two daughters. Terri Lavallee and Holly Ames, with whom his absence will forever leave a void in their hearts. His six grandchildren; with whom he was so proud of and cherished the opportunity to see them grow and achieve their dreams; Kalla Ames, Nicholas Lavallee, Tara McCarthy, Lexie Lavallee, Zachary Corliss and Kristi Kervin. His great-grandchildren that made him laugh and always felt blessed to be apart of their lives, Cayleigh, Elizabeth, Matthew, Joshua, Tanner, Brooke and Rylan along with extended family and many dear friends from far and near.
Frank was a very giving man and spent his retirement years involved in the community, he would volunteer his time with Kingston Police Department, The Citizen Corp of Kingston and his beloved Pease Greeters of Portsmouth spending countless hours thanking our troops for their service whether they were coming home or going abroad.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Feb 2, from 3-5 p.m. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA. By request of family, burial at Union Cemetery in Amesbury will be private at a later date.
