Frederick A. Richard

d. June 18, 2024

It’s with a heavy heart we announce that Frederick A. Richard passed away unexpectedly at his home in Salisbury on June 18th, 2024.

Born February 4, 1955 in Quincy MA, Fred was the son of Frederick and M. Geneva Richard. Most of his childhood was spent in Lynnfield, MA, until his family relocated to Westfield, NJ where he graduated high school before enlisting as a medic in the Army. After leaving the Military, he lived in Hawaii for several years before returning to Massachusetts. Fred was a highly skilled cabinet maker and had a woodworking and construction business for years. He could always be found in the afternoon, enjoying a cold beer during a Red Sox game, or firing up the grill before the Patriots kicked off on Sunday.

Fred was a caring husband, loving father and grandfather, a proud veteran, and an avid Boston sports fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Venitia (Morris); his son, Kyle and fiance Molly Robbins; his grandchildren, Payton and Olivia; his sister, Peggy(Richard) Philbrook, and many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Fred will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

There will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held for Fred at The Winner’s Circle in Salisbury on Sunday, June 30th from 1-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the Jimmy Fund.
