GERALD ALAN MAJOCHA
April 16, 1952 – December 16, 2023

Gerald Alan Majocha, age 71, passed away on Saturday, December 16th in his home surrounded by family. He was the son of the late John W. and Stella (Gula) Majocha, Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Paula (Dendor) Majocha, his daughter Kimberly Majocha and his grandson Christopher, his son Nicholas Majocha and daughter-in-law Courtney, brother John Majocha, sister-in-law Susan Finocchio, and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.Â

Beneath Jerry’s friendly and calm demeanor, lay a fierce competitor. Whether on the softball field, at the poker table, or especially on the golf course, Jerry always managed to come out on top - anyone that watched him dominate cornhole knows this all too well. He loved sports, was a champion fantasy football player, and enjoyed curating his collection of memorabilia. His commitment to yard work was unparalleled. He loved walking the beach with Paula, going to dinners with friends, and spending time with his children and grandchild. A perfect day for Jerry was sitting on the back lanai of his Florida home, recounting his latest birdie putt, watching the sunset with his wife, and sipping a frozen margarita.

Jerry made a lasting impact during the course of his 40+ year career at General Electric. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he started at GE as a manager for engine design/production. He became a Six Sigma black belt that specialized in lean management, and transitioned into a project management role. He helped GE partners, like the Navy, solve business inefficiencies, including negotiating and managing contracts in excess of a billion dollars.Â

Jerry left an indelible mark on everyone who met him, and his memory will live on through his friends and family.  In lieu of flowers, his family urges you to make a donation in his memory to Mass General Hospital’s Pancreatic Cancer Center at

Arrangements are being handled by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Funeral Home in Newburyport, MA. A private funeral mass will be held for the family. In respect of Jerry’s wishes, a celebration of his life is being planned for this coming spring.
