Jeffrey A. Moisan, age 62, of Haverhill, passed on April 17, 2024 at Lawrence General Hospital with his family at his side. Born in Newburyport, June 7, 1961, he was the dearly loved son of the late Joseph A. Moisan Sr. and the late Alma (Saboo) Moisan and was a graduate of Whittier Vocational Technical School in Haverhill.
Throughout his life, Jeffrey worked in commercial fishing and then construction. When not working, he was a familiar face at the Neptune 8 Club (Neps) of Newburyport, where he made fond memories and forged lifelong friendships with Jim, Big D, Shannon and many more. You know who you are.
Jeffrey’s life was defined by his resilience and tough spirit as he overcame several health struggles during the last 11 years of his life. With the support and love from his family, friends, and the staff at the Vinfen Group Home on Hilldale Ave in Haverhill, he refused to let his limitations dim his light. Whether in conversation with family or friends, or yelling at the television in joy or disappointment during a Boston Bruins game, he lived his life with vigor. Throughout his life, he always loved playing hockey and a lively game of golf.
Jeffrey leaves behind his brother, Joseph A. Moisan Jr and his wife Mary (Hope); two sisters, Annette M. Moisan and Andrea M. Moisan; four nieces and two nephews, Jessica Moisan, Leah Moisan, Joseph Moisan, Steven Poulin, Stephanie Poulin and her son Stacy, and Tiffany Poulin and her daughter Trinity; as well as extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his baby brother, Jerry A. Moisan.
We would like to thank the staff at the Vinfen Group Home on Hilldale Ave in Haverhill who always treated Jeff like family. Including Gail, Artie, Patrick, Destiny, Betty, Desiree, Fred, Jennifer, Esther, Lilian, Lauren, Catherine and all the staff who cared for him over the years. They are heroes to us.
A period of visitation will be held at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 2 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. immediately followed by a brief service at 6:30 P.M.
