We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of John B. Paulson, aged 71, on January 10, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Forbes) Paulson, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years.

John was born on September 12, 1952, in Peabody, MA, the son of the late John Paulson and Betty (Anderson) Paulson. Throughout his life, he worked as a dedicated business owner, leaving a lasting impact on his industry. He served God faithfully for many years both at Church and camp ministries.

John will be lovingly remembered by his daughters and their families: Cara Murphy and her husband Michael of Merrimac, MA; Melissa Locher and her husband Samuel of Hampton, NH; Kirsten Neidhardt and her husband Brian of Merrimac, MA and Aleia Jureski and husband Pat Barthel of St. Augustine, FL. He was also a proud and devoted grandfather to eight grandchildren: Elijah, Jonah, Asher, Ruby, Malachi, Grace, Ezekiel, and Brielle and was also a dog grandfather to Flower and Chase. In addition to his immediate family, John is survived by numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his sister, Darlene Paulson.

To honor John’s memory and the impact he had on the community, donations can be made to Camp Kerith in Alfred, Maine. This organization was close to his heart and supports youth development through outdoor education and leadership programs.

John B. Paulson will be remembered as a dedicated husband, loving father, and doting grandfather. His kind and generous nature touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Hope Community Church, 11 Hale Street, Newburyport, MA on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2 P.M. immediately followed by a reception. The burial for family and close friends will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Union Cemetery, Amesbury.
