Jr. Daniel E. Connors

Daniel (Buzza) Connors Jr passed peacefully with his family by his side at his home in Newburyport on Friday, May 31, 2024. He was the husband of Joyce (Horgan) Connors with whom he just celebrated 67 years of marriage.

A native Newburyporter, he was born on August 2, 1938, son of the late Daniel E. and Stacia (Marciszka) Connors and was a graduate of Newburyport High School, Class of “57”.

Buzza was a lifelong commercial fishermen, captain of the F/V Early Times, which he built with his son in the 1980’s. Buzza was a life member of the North End Boat Club.

He was dedicated to his family and was especially fond of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a very special spot in his heart. He also loved traveling to Florida to visit friends with stops along the way at Atlantic City and the Carolinas to visit grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce; four children, Daniel Connors III, Jody Connors, Lori Connors, and Tracy Lynch and husband Greg; grandchildren, Nicole, Leah, Masen, Kristen, Jamie, Eric, Jennifer, Megan, Kelsey and Erin; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Connor, Tully, Avery, Jacob, Caleb, Ryan, Mackenzie, Mallory, Madison, Lucas and Benjamin; sisters Noreen Lyons and Marylin Harris; brother, John Connors and wife Linda; along with extended family and friends from far and near. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Lowell Connors and his daughter-in-law Nancy Nickerson.

At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements were by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
