Frank J. Syvinski, Jr., age 83, longtime resident of Salisbury, passed unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday afternoon, March 20, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Judith “Judi” A. (Samoisette) Syvinski, who passed in 2007.

Born in Amesbury, February 26, 1941, he was one of three sons of the late Francis J. and Mary (Krol) Syvinski and was a graduate of Amesbury High School, Class of 1959.

Soon after his graduation from High School Frank joined the United States Air Force, proudly serving as a jet engine mechanic from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1964 at the rank of Airman First Class (E-4).

After his Military Service, Frank worked for General Electric in Lynn, MA assembling Jet Engines. He later changed careers and became a Police Officer starting with the Town of Amesbury for several years, then became an Officer with the Newburyport Police Department for 20 years. Frank also served part-time with the Rowley and Newbury Police Departments.

Frank lived for and loved his family that included his son, Bruce C. Syvinski, and wife Yon; his grandchildren, Abigail R. Syvinski, Katrina B. Syvinski and Esther E. Fritz; two brothers, Edward Syvinski, and Charles Syvinski and wife Lea Ann, along with several generations of nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA from 4 to 7 P.M.
