Jr. Reginald P. Brown

d. February 4, 2024

Reggie, as he was known to family and friends, passed on to the other side, late Sunday evening, February 4, 2024, hoping to reunite with his loved ones, especially his sons Jason and Brian and granddaughter, Jessica.

Reggie was born in Newburyport on August 15, 1948 to Reginald P. Brown Sr. and Sarah L. (Gould) Brown and attended Brown School, Jackman School and Newburyport High School. He served in the U. S. Army from June, 1968 to December, 1970.

A self-employed owner of Brown’s Odd Jobs for over 30 years, he retired due to a disability. He was an exceptional carpenter and meticulous painter, plowed snow in the winter, and also did yard work.

He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on vehicles. As a youngster, he dug clams in the 60’s with his father who was a master clam digger and also shucked clams in local clam shanties. Reggie had also worked in many local shoe shops in the area.

He was always very proud of his children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn; his daughter, Lynn Brown of Amesbury; son, Eric Brown of Salisbury; granddaughters, Mikayla and Sophia Brown of Amesbury, Sarah-Alexis Nicole and Briana Brown of NH; one grandson, Jaycob Brown and one great-grandson, Armani of Seabrook, NH; his sister, Florence Moran and her husband Ken of Salisbury, along with several nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father; his sons, Jason, age 29, died in 2010, Brian, age 38, died in 2016, granddaughter, Jessica, age 22, died in 2018 and baby Reggie, age 3 months, died in 1973.
