Robert F. Tindle, Jr.

d. November 5, 2024

Robert F. Tindle Jr., aged 65, was a lifelong resident of Salisbury who passed away in his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine metastatic cancer on November 05, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Joanne Tindle. Together, Bob and Joanne started an earth moving and trucking company in 1992. They built a successful business together from the ground-up, and continued until his health forced his retirement in 2022. His passion for operating heavy equipment allowed for a fulfilling career, but above all else, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. When he could sneak away for a vacation, time was spent snowmobiling, taking road trips up and down the East coast, or poolside in Florida, all to the soundtrack of the Jimmy Buffet discography. He also had a love for anything with a motor. Boats, cars, trucks, and motorcycles gave him an adrenaline rush that always seemed to put a smile on his face.

He will be sorely missed by his three sons, Robert Tindle and wife, Kayla Tindle, William Tindle and wife, Kristina Tindle, and Michael Tindle. His final years really brought out his soft side, with love for his three granddaughters, Stella Tindle, Lillian Tindle, and Quinn Tindle over all else.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Tindle, brother Doug Tindle and wife, Julie Tindle, and many, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Bob Tindle to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via jimmyfund.org/gift.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at the Star of the Sea Church, 18 Beach Road, Salisbury, followed by burial at Long Hill Cemetery, Salisbury, where Bob will be laid to eternal rest.
