Judith Jeanene (Brown) Goucher, a beloved member of the Seabrook community, passed away peacefully at her home on September 25, 2024, at the age of 84. Judith was born in Salisbury, MA on March 23, 1940, to the late Lester Brown and the late Alice (Bailey) Bailey.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished by her husband of sixty-six years, James William Goucher. Judith was a devoted mother to her two sons, James Goucher, Jr. and his partner, Martha Hood of Newton, NH and Jeffrey Goucher and his wife Kelli of Newton, NH and her daughter, Janette Hill and her husband Stephen of Berwick, ME. She was a proud grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Beverly King and Jackie Marzioli, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Sharon Hamilton.
Judith was a dedicated member of the Seabrook Senior Center and had a passion for cooking and delighting her family with delicious meals. She worked at Epicure in Newburyport making speakers and shucked clams in Seabrook.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newburyport, in honor of Judith’s memory. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace. There will be a gathering at the Trinity Church in Seabrook following the service.
