Leo Franics Jr. Ellison

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leo Francis Ellison Jr, aged 57, on April 8, 2024, at his home in Newburyport, MA.

Leo was born on October 11, 1966 in Newburyport, to the late Leo Francis Ellison, Sr. and Cecile (Clark) Ellison. He was a dedicated worker at local 88 tunnel workers for many years, was a die hard New England sports fan, but most of all he was the best father and “papa”.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Phillips) Ellison, his daughter Mackenzie Ellison and his son Beau Martineau. He leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Elijah, Zaidyn, and Milani, as well as his brothers, Raymond, Albert, Donald; sister-in-laws, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his daughter, Jasmine Ellison and sister, Lynda McIntyre.

He will be remembered for his kindness, big heart, the love for his family, and his big bear hugs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 4 to 8 PM at the Elliot, Woodworth, and Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street Newburyport, MA 01950.
