Louis F. Apicella

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Louis F. Apicella, known affectionately as “Cookie,” on December 9, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on May 23, 1941, Louis was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

 Louis was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean Apicella (née Redding) and their son Jeffrey Apicella. He was also predeceased by his brother Peter Apicella and his sister Mary Taafe. Despite these losses, Louis’s family was a constant source of strength and joy for him throughout his life. 

He is survived by his son, Louis F. Apicella, Jr., and his cherished grandson, Matthew. Louis also leaves behind his devoted siblings: Linda Arnold of Monroe, NJ; Anne Apicella of Rio Rancho, NM; Steven Apicella and his wife, Candy Apicella, of Hewitt, NJ; nephews James, Richard, Jerry, Michael, and Tom; and nieces Catherine, Robyn, and Stacy. 

Louis proudly served in the United States Army and U.S. Army Reserves, embodying a spirit of duty and honor that remained a cornerstone of his life. 

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. He will be forever loved and remembered.
