Marcia J. Sanborn-King

Marcia J. Sanborn-King, age 69, of Merrimac, MA, passed at her home on Wednesday evening, May 15, 2024, in the loving surroundings of her wife and family, after a valiant struggle with many health issues.

Born in Amesbury, March 25, 1955, she was one of nine children of the late Jack and Lillian (Proulx) Sanborn, and was a graduate of Amesbury High School. Marcia went on to earn her Nursing License at the Salem Hospital School of Nursing. Her career as a nurse spanned 25 years in the field of geriatrics and special needs. Her loving, caring ways, endeared her by all who encountered her throughout her life.

She leaves behind her loving wife of 11 years, Andrea Sanborn-King of Merrimac; her five sisters and three brothers; two step-children; eight step-grandchildren, along with extended family and many, many dear friends and acquaintances.


An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 26 White Street, Haverhill, MA 01830, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at the Church at 10 A.M. with a Graveside Service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill Road, Amesbury, MA, where Marcia will be laid to eternal rest next to her parents, Jack and Lillian Sanborn.
