Cheryl Dudley, age 69, of Hillsborough, NH, former longtime resident of Amesbury, passed at her son’s home in Hillsborough early Friday morning February 23, 2024, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Lawrence, November 21, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Dudley and Charlotte (Kelley) Goossens and graduated from Amesbury High School with honors, Class of 1972.
Cheryl had worked as a technician for Verizon, having retired after 31 years of dedicated service. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with friends, celebrating the holiday season, and hosting family gatherings.
She was a devoted mother to her two children Kristi and Michael and a very proud grandmother of her only grandchild, Campbell who was her pride and joy.
The wonderful memories that she shared with her family and friends will continue to live in the hearts of those she loved so dearly, her son, Michael McCarthy and his wife Melissa Hardy; her daughter, Kristi Scholl; her grandson, Campbell Scholl; her siblings, Michael Dudley and wife Robin, Michelle Hammer and husband Michael, Lisa Mead, and Janet Coyne and husband Michael; her three step-sisters, Cathy Vichill and husband Kenny, Laurie Hawkes and husband Arthur and Barbara Stuart and husband Albert, along with countless nieces and nephews, extended family and many dear friends. She will be missed by everyone whose life she enriched with her caring, comforting ways.
