Peter J. Nichypor, age 68, resident of Exeter, NH for the past 37 years, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, December 9, 2023, after recent surgery.
Born in Newburyport June 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Delphine M. (Kilgore) Nichypor and brother of the late Joseph A. Nichypor, Jr.
Peter was a graduate of Newburyport High School, and shortly thereafter he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam era.
For several years “Pete “, as he was known by many, had worked at the Bartley Machine Company in Amesbury. He also had worked for a limousine company for many years, making airport runs between Boston and Manchester, NH, as well as long distance runs to New York, the New England States, and beyond. From that point, Pete joined the Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Homes of Amesbury Haverhill, Merrimac and Newburyport, as a funeral assistant for the past 15 years, taking great pride, honor and dignity in helping others at their time of need.
Pete was very gregarious, enjoyed meeting new friends and keeping longtime friends in the loop. He was a lover of the outdoors, tended to his vegetable and berry garden, was always caring of the bunnies, squirrels, and birds that would come around waiting for him to feed them, and was an avid fisherman. Additionally, Pete was a true mr. fix-it, able to fix almost anything, and he loved everything James Bond.
He was a dedicated father to his son, Alexei Nichypor, and his wife Kacie, as well as a devoted grandfather to his granddaughter, Hallie, and would have been doubly blessed with his 2nd granddaughter, who will arrive in March of 2024. Pete’s longtime companion, Lisa Reynolds, and her two daughters, Charlotte "KAI" and Lucy, of Exeter, NH, have enriched his life completely, and he was so happy to have them in his life. His aunt, Alice Maclennan and those who knew and loved him, will always keep him close to their heart.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913. Burial will be private for the family. Kindly omit flowers, instead, please consider making a donation in memory of Peter J. Nichypor to the charity of the donor’s choice.
