Priscilla Ann (Shea) Barbarino, 93, passed away peacefully, returning home to the Lord and her loved ones. Family and friends called her “Peggy”. Peggy was born on December 10, 1931 and passed away on March 17, 2025.
Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Sylvester “Joe” Barbarino, her twin daughter, Jane Ann Hoey and her grandson, Joseph Anthony Barbarino. She leaves behind her twin daughter Joan Ann Abare of Amesbury and her son Joe Barbarino, wife Susan of Alfred, Maine. Her grandchildren, James Abare of Amesbury, Patrick Hoey, wife Jessica of Byfield, Jessica Hoey of Scituate and John Barbarino, wife Angela of Mulberry, Florida. Her siblings, Kathy Tourgeman and Brian Shea of Ohio, Keith Shea, wife Kathleen of Pembroke and Michael Shea, wife Patricia of Marco Island, Florida and Eddie Shea (deceased), Terry Shea (deceased).
After raising her family, Priscilla pursued a career at the Salem News, circulation dept. for many years before retiring. During her retirement, Priscilla enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at Salem Willows, traveling with family, joined a bowling league and worked part time at the Salvation Army in Salem and Lynn where she enjoyed meeting and helping people. She was also passionate about Bingo, playing as often as she could, family calling her the “Bingo Queen”.
Priscilla will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many others. She brought light and love to everyone she met and will be sadly missed by all.
Family will be holding a Graveside Service at a later date. In loving memory of Priscilla Ann Barbarino, donations can be made to a local charity of the one’s choice. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913.
