Ricky F. George

d. January 27, 2024

July 17, 1961 - January 27, 2024

Ricky F. George, 62, of Amesbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27th, 2024 with his family by his side at Anna Jaques Hospital. He is now at rest after a long, ongoing battle with his health. Ricky was the beloved husband of the late Dawn E. Fuller George who passed in 2019.

Born in Methuen, July 17, 1961, Ricky was the son of the late Francis George and Virginia (Nichols) George, and was a brother to the late Donald George and Gary George.

Ricky was a carpenter and worked in construction for many years. Building houses and excavation were among his many talents. He was a dedicated craftsman with an exceptional work ethic and built long lasting relationships with customers.

In his free time, Ricky enjoyed camping with his family and friends at various campgrounds. Most of all he loved his time spent at the Friendly Beaver Campground. Hobbies he enjoyed throughout his life were building and enhancing golf carts, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling and fishing.

Although his physical presence is no longer with us, Ricky will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved him, and the memories made with him will be remembered and shared for generations to come. He is now able to breathe freely, laugh with his brother and father, and walk hand in hand with Dawn, kissing the dimples on her cheeks once again.

Ricky is survived by his and Dawn’s five children - Chris George, Mark George, Brian George, Jessica George and Melissa George; his beloved eight grandchildren (soon to be nine); his brother, Gary George; his mother, Virginia George, along with extended family and many very special friends.

In honor of Ricky’s life, please join the George family & friends at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Roger’s Family Funeral Home this Saturday, February 3rd from 1-4 PM. (2 Hillside Avenue, Route 150,
Amesbury, MA)
Once services are complete, the family welcomes all to a celebration of Ricky’s life at The Barn Pub & Grille at 4 PM for the evening. (5 Ring Street, Amesbury, MA)

The George family is forever grateful to all who have donated thus far to assist in fulfilling their wishes to honor Ricky and celebrate his life.
