Robert Warren Hossack passed away at The Kaplan House in Danvers, Massachusetts on May 2nd. He was born in Lynn, MA on January 27, 1945, to Howard John Hossack and Florence Ruth Eddy. He was educated in Lynn public schools and graduated in 1962 from Lynn English High School. After high school Bob enlisted in the US Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam War. Bob was always proud of being of service to his country and being a veteran. He attended Lynn Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1974. He became a registered nurse and spent the majority of his career at Boston Medical Center, formerly Boston City Hospital, in the Emergency Room.
Bob believed in the value of nursing, a career he truly loved. He mentored many students and was a strong support to his colleagues and an advocate for his patients.
Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lorna Sullivan Hossack. He leaves a daughter Maura Hossack-Langan and her husband Brian Langan of Wellesley Mass, and his two beautiful grandchildren Siobhan and William Langan; his Son Daniel Hossack and partner Annalee
Lanier of Manteo, North Carolina. Bob also leaves two sisters Judith Nestor and Kristina Hossack, both of Amesbury, Massachusetts.
An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10 A.M. at Central Congregational Church, 14 Titcomb Street, Newburyport, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at the Church at 11 A.M. and a Graveside Service at Belleville Cemetery, where Robert will be laid to eternal rest.
