Rosa Virginia Cruz

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Rosa Virginia Cruz. Rosa left us unexpectedly the evening of Tuesday, February 6th, 2024.

Rosa was one of the smartest people we have ever known. Graduating from Haverhill High School class of 1998. While in High School, Rosa was involved in a Mock Trial Tournament and won a Certificate of Merit from the Massachusetts Bar Association. After High School Rosa attended College at Mt. Ida where she graduated in 2000 with an Associate Degree in Science in Paralegal Studies. She then received her Batchelors in Science with a focus on Government, Law and the Court Systems from Suffolks University in 2003 and then she attended New England School of Law.

Rosa worked for some of the top lawyers in NY and Boston.

Rosa loved Art, Music and Poetry. She learned some guitar and learned how to express herself through poetry. She had no children of her own but her nieces were her pride and joy.

Rosa is survived by her mother and father, Charo & Craig Downs of Glendale, AZ; brother Roberto Cruz of Toledo, OH, brother and wife Luis & Jessica Cruz of Amesbury, 3 nieces, Imogene, Imari & Genevah, brothers Julian Cruz and Nathan Cruz of North Andover; step- brother and wife Justin and Sarah Downs of Amesbury, nephew William and niece Adeline, brother Brandon Downs of Seekonk, as well as many other family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 fro 5 to 7 P.M. at the Monument Square Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01830.
