Shirley M. (Lafontaine) Green

Shirley M. Green, age 92, of Amesbury, passed away on December 30. She was the wife of the late George H. Green, who passed on November 15, 2007.

Shirley was born on September 25, 1931 in Haverhill, daughter of the late Arthur and Peggy Lafontaine. She graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1950.

She worked in local stores including the former JJ Newberry in Amesbury. Shirley had been a long time communicant of St. Andre Bessette Parish of St. Joseph Church, Amesbury.

She was the sister of the late Marcia Smith, and leaves a brother, along with several nieces and nephews.

We wish to offer our sincere thanks to the staff of Ashland Farm in North Andover for their kindness and loving care during her last year.

There will be no calling hours. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury, will he held at a later date. Arrangements were made with Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA.
