Terry “Tut” Anne Murphy, age 63, of Hampton, NH, passed in her sleep in the comfort of her home on December 9, 2024.
Born in Amesbury, MA, on June 13, 1961, she was the daughter of the late John P. Murphy and Louise (Bibeau) Murphy.
Terry earned an Associates Degree in Human Services from Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, beginning a life-long career dedicated to helping others. She was the house manager at the Quinn House in Amesbury and was a long-time employee of both Baldpate Hospital in Georgetown, and the Maris Center in Salisbury. In both her professional and personal life, she always went above and beyond for others in need.
A longtime friend of Bill W., Terry just celebrated 20 years. A woman of many talents and hobbies, she was an artist, musician, collector of stones, writer of letters, and had a deep love of the ocean.
Her life’s legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her son, Sam Bonansigna of Manchester, NH; daughter, Sajin Hoxie and son-in-law Theo Hoxie of Dover, NH; three nephews, Jason Murphy of Methuen, MA, Roy Murphy of Dover, NH, and Joseph Murphy of Hampton, NH, along with extended family and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her two brothers, Timothy Murphy and Scott Murphy.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, from 2 to 5 P.M. immediately followed by a funeral service at the Highland Chapel.
